Spring Court of Honor

When: Wednesday, June 11, 2008, 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m., St. Stephen's
Who: All Scouts and Leaders, Families and Friends Welcome
What: Recognize Scout Advancement Award many merit badges
Where: Raven Knob Scout Camp, Mount Airy, North Carolina
Bring: Snacks and desserts to share. Wear Class "A" Uniform with Neckerchief, insect repellent for Chapel in the Glen

badges are on the list for the Court of Honor.

Rafting Trip on the Lower Yough

When: Leave from St. Stephen's, Friday, June 13, 2008, 3:00 p.m.
Return to St. Stephen's, Sunday, June 15, 2008, 3:00 p.m.
Who: All Scouts and Leaders (Parent Son Weekend Fathers' Day)
Families welcome (siblings need to be twelve years old)
What: Raft 7 ½ miles down the Yough in four or six person, self bailing rubber rafts; experience Class III white water, exciting and challenging. Check out  www.wilderness-voyageurs.com. Camp two nights at Scarlett Knob Campground. Visit Falling Waters, Frank Lloyd Wright's famous house built over a river.
Where: Youghiougheny River and Ohiopyle State Park, Pennsylvania

Bring: Normal camping equipment (Click here for packing list).  Add bathing suit, towels,
wading booties or shoes, waterproof container/bags, sunscreen.
Cost:

$125.00 fee, includes payment to Wilderness Voyageurs, food, and camping fee. Due Wednesday, May 21, 2008


Summer Camp at Raven Knob Scout Camp

When: Leave Sunday, June 29, 2008, 6:30 a.m., from St. Stephen's
Return Saturday, July 5, 2008, 3:00 p.m., to St. Stephen's
Who: All Scouts and Leaders, Parents welcome and needed as drivers.
What: Boy Scout Summer Camp is the highlight of our scouting year. This is the time and place to work on advancement. There’s something for everyone: New Scouts, Merit Badges, Outback, Eagle, Aquatics. Check out the camp’s web site, http://www.ravenknob.com, and see the information available at troop meetings.

Cost:

Scouts - $275.00, includes camp fees, special program fees, and troop activities.
First Payment $150.00 due by the end of April
Second Payment $125.00 due by the end of May
Adults - $125.00 for the week or $25.00 per day
